13 years later.

Kim Seon Jun sat on his luxurious sofa and laughed his heart out. He had cheated his enemy. The happiest happened that day was that. In this mafia world, they had to turn their backs on each other in order to know who the best is. Same goes to Seon Jun. He, himself had took the most precious paintings from the Lee family and surprisingly, he got a lot of cash out of it. How much lucky he must be?

‘”Like they say, everyman is the architect of his own fortune,” he smiled satisfiedly when his gaze fell on the table stack with cash.

With a last look, he unbuttoned his shirt and went to have a bath. While he showers, he thought of every circumstance that might come his way. He knew someone would come and steal away his money. He had to worry eventhough the cash is now in his hands. Lee Hwangkie, to his enthusiasm, was having an affair with the museum lady. That’s how he got to buy the piece with a low price. Apparently, Seon Jun had stolen it.

How he stole it? He had hired the most professional assassin for that. With the help of his assistant, the assassin agreed and now, he got the money. What a nice life. He thought.

Seon Jun wrapped a towel on his waist as he finished his shower. He took the smaller ones to dry his hair. He hummed as he opened the door. To his surprise, he found the assassin he hired, stood in front of him.

Jung Yonghwa smiled.

“Oh, Yonghwa sshi, what brings you here?” Seon Jun was startled by the sudden appearance, perhaps that’s what assassins do. Showed up where and when they want to,

He shrugged. “To kill,” Yonghwa sneered.

“I beg your pardon?” he panicked.

“You know, you guys should stop this enemy stuff,” Yonghwa muttered as he started to walk towards Seon Jun. “Lee Hwangkie,” he paused. “You paid me to steal his painting and he, as I predicted, paid me to kill you,” he whispered to Soen Jun.

Seon Jun was shocked. He did know Hwangkie would sent someone but he didn’t realize it would be this fast. Yet again, it’s Yonghwa whom was paid to kill him. “Security!!!” he yelled. Frightened by the smirk on Yonghwa’s face.

“Shuu.. they’re sleeping,” meaning, dead. “You know, I do need some reasons,” he paused. “Well, for not killing you,” he grinned.

“I’ll pay you more! I’ll pay the triple amount of what he’s paying!” Seon Jun yelled. He didn’t want his life to end. Who would?

“Wrong answer,” Yonghwa said and pull out his gun. Panic strike Seon Jun. Without hesitation, Yonghwa pulled the trigger.

“Bam! And he’s dead,” Yonghwa threw the gun on the floor. He stared at Seon Jun’s corpse. As an assassin, it was hard that he had to kill people without any mercy. But what can he do? It’s what he was trained for. “Nice working with ya,” he mumbled alone and made his way out of the room.

Yonghwa returned to his apartment that night, after receiving his payment. He whistled as he counted the greens he got. Unfortunately, as he entered his room, he smelled something. Perfumes other than his. He flung off the envelope to the coffee table. He was sure someone else in his apartment. A guy to be exact. Apparently, Yonghwa hated visitors.

Abruptly, Yonghwa turned the lights on and pointed his silver revolver to the person who stood in front of him. “I do not adore intruders,” he grunted. “You sure have guts my friend,” he said.

The guy stood to face Yonghwa. He introduced himself and to what Yonghwa heard, his name was Lee Jonghyun, an assistant for the Kang family. “I came here with reasons,” Lee Jonghyun uttered while placing the briefcase on the coffee table. Jonghyun was a man with little words. He likes things to be straight to its point.

As so, it was money Yonghwa presumed. He lowered his revolver. “Speak.”

While settling his customer, Lee Jungshin eyed the person who just entered his bar. He then, walked calmly towards him. “May I get you anything, sir?” he smiled.

Kang Minhyuk nodded lightly and ordered a light coke.

Jungshin walked to the bar with a smile on his face. He knew who Kang Minhyuk is. An undercover policeman who recently being assigned in Wong Shitake’s case. Jungshin came back with a light coke in his hand and placed it in front of Minhyuk. When he was about to make his way back to the bar, Minhyuk called out his name.

“I need information,” Minhyuk blurted out.

“I thought so,” Jungshin smiled and led Minhyuk to the private room.
